Regardless of his culpability, it's still the direct result of Sunny's actions. I agree that staging it as a suicide is completely on Basil, but Sunny is the one who actually killed Mari. This last one is a little more speculative, so I'm not numbering it, but I don't think Basil could tell the truth first. I don't think that really changes anything that much staging a suicide is pretty messed up no matter how old you are. This is probably the most minor one, but Sunny and Basil were 12 at the time of the incident, not 10. I don't think it's fair to judge Basil for actions he took while clearly suffering from a psychotic break, i.e. Basil is also not the one who removed Mari's photos from the album that was Aubrey. IIRC, it was actually Kel's idea to go through it.
